EIS Participates in the Setup of “FACIL‘iti Japon”, a Startup Company Promoting Digital Accessibility
October 5, 2018
EIS (Exa Innovation Studio; El Segundo, US) is cooperating with FACIL’iti (Limoges, France), a French startup company which aims to improve the accessibility to digital medias, to set up a new Japanese subsidiary FACIL’iti Japon in Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo. FACIL’iti serves as an innovative solution for the elderlies and the people with difficulties of sight, hand operation, letter recognition and such to enjoy easier access to websites by automatically optimizing the user interface on the website. For instance, it can increase the font size or change font colors to a high-contrast color scheme for the elderlies to improve legibility, or it can enlarge the banners displayed on websites for people with handicaps in movement, without changing the overall design and atmosphere of the websites. FACIL’iti is already introduced to over 200 facilities and E-commerce sites in France, ranging from government offices to major banks to grocery stores. It will also be adopted in the operation of Paris 2024 official website.
